... Read more school so far. The laptops for each student and technology available in the classrooms, is like nothing else in any school in Arizona. This is the future of education and every school should emulate this. The facility is brand new as of last year, with a kitchen and cafeteria, spacious gym with a stage and large library. We have found it easy to get involved in our child educational process and be a part of the school. The use of smart boards and laptops is just icing on the cake. My son started kindergarten at Scales when he was 4 yrs old and he is now in the second grade. The teachers he's had are awesome. I love the staff and the principal Mr. Diokno is very active with the students. I remember the sit behind the desk principals that you didn't see unless you were in trouble

One factor to conceder when ratting Scales would be the amount of students that move in and out of the school. My Nabors are mentors at Scales. They have many accounts of students that they have worked with, developed a relationship, made progress, felt proud of the accomplishment and one day the child

Therefore, when looking at test scores you do not get the full measure of a school like scales. Teacher s abilities to handle situations that are more difficult should be a factor. A test that is taken by a student who enrolled mid semester, who has moved around multiple times in a year is most likely to be lower that a student that has been in the same school system their whole lives. I moved from mesa and parent involvement was very good. The PTA actually voted for more homework for their kids! When you meet the teachers of both schools and talk to them the comment and real concern for the students is so much more at Scales. It really bothers me when looking at the five stars rating at the school system my daughter was in and the ratting Scales receives. The sense of eagerness and dedication from my daughter s teacher has made a life changing difference in her. She has made incredible progress at Scales and I would rate Scales much high then any school she has been to Read less

My children love this school. It speaks volumes to me that the staff is so invested. After speaking with the principal, I am impressed the his son, and several staff members children, attend the school. That shows that if it is good enough for their children, it most definitely should be for mine.

My kids are new to Scales Technology Academy and I would have to say it is such an impressive school. We finally have a school that 'gets it'. we live in the 21st century and every staff member there is forward thinking and believes in helping my kids understand that technology can help them learn.
... Read more Everyone there is always smiling and asking if they can help me, which is a great thing. They are very genuine in their interactions. They also seem very flexible. The first day pickup was horrible! but it seems like they never rest, because it improves everyday. I can't speak highly enough about the teachers and principal. It seems like I see the principal everywhere (greeting kids in the morning, directing traffic after school, and my daughter and son both say he is in their classes everyday! Advanced Placement
