Both programs have gone through their ups and downs. He is most pleased with wrestling now that things have seemed to level out. I graduated from four years at WCHS, and my experience was fantastic. But not because of the school. The entire time I attended, I had no voice; I suffered for even trying to raise issues. Read more a harsh start (as my year learned) is a good program, and while the director worked hard to get the program instilled, she never represented the truth and realities of the program to the students at any point. The athletics, which are good, are far too celebrated, by both staff and student council, which is the only school organization on campus recognized by the administration as serious. Rather than recognize a theatre club that has won state competitions or DECA students who competed nationally, a team that competed at regionals is celebrated. Read less

There is a huge drug problem in this school, and teachers/admin pay more attention on the dress code and football team than they do academics. The only people who have school spirit are in sports, everybody else hates the school.

I'm not very pleased with this school at all. Granted, it is in a good neighborhood, but the teachers are terrible, and there isn't enough staff to enforce the district policies. Many of the teachers have been fired, especially this year, and there have been a lot of nehative activity at the school.

this school isn't very good. i moved here from michigan and realize that arizona schools arent the best, but i am not challenged at all and hope this wont bring me down for university. taking AP classes but still not challenging. Also, the teachers arent very experienced.

i love willow canyon. im a freshman there and i love how this school has lots of spirit, great teachers, and pretty much the whole staff is amazing! i also like how theres after school programs to help me. im glad to be a WCHS student, and ill be glad to graduate from Willow. I am a friend of a parent whose son goes to WCHS and they have nothing but great things to say. They love the school and the athletics. The teachers are very helpful and care tremendously about the students. They are always available for student and parents needs.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
