Both my boys went to Anasazi. The first is now in middle school and has been in a SpED program since 2yo. Parent involvement was not only welcomed but requested by principal and teachers. I loved my kids' 5th grade teacher. Bec of her I realized that my Special Ed kid is an A+ honor roll student.
... Read more She taught me and my kid not to settle for mediocrity, average is not good enough if you can do better. My younger son is in the other end of the spectrum and has always been A+. Anasazi's structure and CBS program has let him take this to a much higher level....He studies like a college student, independently, and realizes his responsibilities to the community. I love this school. We've been in Seattle and Bay area previously. Nothing compares to Anasazi. The Principal and Staff are amazing. Read less

I couldn't be happier with Anasazi. My son came from a small private Kindergarten and suffered from separation anxiety when he started 1st grade here. His teacher was so kind and patient with him. He has an excellent teacher again this year and is now loving school. The office staff is fantastic.

My boys attended Anasazi for 2 years.The office staff is friendly, as is the Principal. But the Principal does let Special ED fall through the cracks, and not return phone calls or repeated letters requesting help. The school is in a nice area and laid out beautifully, but my kids were very unhappy
... Read more here, did not do well socially or academically, very surprisingly. I pulled them out to return them to the Elementary school they were in previously because of the Principals lack of attentiveness. All looks well on the outside, not so great once your there! Not surprisingly, my children started excelling as soon as I pulled them out of there! Read less

This is my 13th consecutive year as a parent of Anasazi students. I could not be happier. The teachers are great, the administration is great, the education is first class. When the district reboundered this school and tried to sent my children elsewhere, I fought tooth and nail to keep them at Anasazi

I have searched the Scottsdale School District high and low and must say that Anasazi has a first-class kindergarten program. I'm so happy with the education he is getting and challenge any parent to find a program

I agree with the comments of January 2007. Information on programs, schedule and curriculum to new parents is very poor. I was particularly disappointed that the most highly valued (advanced academic) programs are not even discussed. It creates a very closed and 'special treatment' environment. The
... Read more principal reinforces this. Even with these programs, it is not an academically rigorous environment, it is just the opposite. I have found the curriculum lacking in both depth and breath, as compared toby experiences with other elementary schools. Read less

We recently moved to the area and enrolled our children at Anasazi. I have been disappointed by the lack of communication between the teachers and parents. As I new parent I feel I have been left 'in the dark.' The teachers appeared annoyed by my simple questions which I must ask because information

We switched our three girls out of district to Anasazi last year. It was the best decision we ever made. My girls not only loved the school and teachers, but excelled both socially and academically. Anasazi welcomes parent involvement in the classroom. The gifted program is wonderfully challenging.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
