My daughter attended ALC and is now a senior as ASU. Her best friend who also attended ALC is now in the Air Force. For the young man who could not get into military, maybe you should look at other factors. ALC certainly was a step forward for my daughter and her friend - not a stumbling block.

I am a former ALC student. I have graduated from ASU as a nurse. I was prepared in every way due to my high school education. ALC let me explore my areas of interest as electives. I was unable to do this at my former school. I will always be indebted to ALC and the teachers. Love you all!

I was a former student who attended this school my junior and senior year of high school. I graduated in '07 and i regret every second of being at this run-of-the-mill 'go at your own pace' school. I recently attempted to join the military applying myself to the marine corps and was brutally shot down.

We were very disappointed with ALC. This is a go at your own pace school with NO homework and too much free time. Please look at their test scores especially by subsets of students. We pulled our Son out after his behavior became very disrepectful and started to hang around other kids there that were
... Read more not a good fit for our child. He is now in another school and truly excelling and back on track, bound for college. If you are considering this type of school, you may want to look at alternatives to gain additional information like the Equestrian School at 40th Street and Greenway and The Metropolitan Arts School downtown. I Loved! ALC!! im now graduated, ALC put me on a very good path! i am currently a Nurseing Student, i know i would not be where i am without the positive encourgemnt from all the staff at ALC! they inspired all students that they were worth it, and they were not going to give up on us! Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Before/After School

Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
