... Read more children who have gone onto higher grade level. The discipline is fair and just, policy is wonderfully written. Teaching staffs are excellent and are always welcoming parents and visitors. Principal is knowledgeable of his responsibilities and duties and adheres to school policies. All is fair and any student who attends DVES with Parental Involvement will have a student with good educational experience. All four of my children have such good educational experience that they look forward to each day of . Desert View School has a great program in place and some very well qualified teachers, but has problems with harrassment of minority students(anglo) by other students and bullying of those students by the other students which has no been addressed well by the current administration. My child feels safer
... Read more staying in his classroom at lunch instead of playing outside at noon, and his teacher gives him and other children this option. A program of organized play would help aleviate this problem and help to prevent the harrassment of other children on the playground. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
