There is a new principal at the school that doesn't listen to parents concerns or issues. There are aides that work in the lunchroom that are just outright mean to the kids. Several parents have went to the principal with these problems and they just don't get dealt with. My sons kindergarden teach is

I can't say enough good things about O'Connor, and especially Dr. Green. She is the most involved principal around. I am amazed how she knows everyone's name and is active in all classes and around the campus. She is the reason this school is successful and the teachers are fantastic! My children
... Read more have excelled academically and socially. When there was a concern with one of my children the teachers were concerened and helpful as well. Communication is also key, the teachers have always been willing to meet with me or return my phone calls, or even respond to the notes the kids give to them. Mrs. Green the principal is very involved my children have enjoyed getting to know her. My children have found their teachers to be very kind and thoughtful toward them. I had a K & 2nd grader this last year. It took me a while to figure out the 2nd grade teachers communication with me. I felt threatened
... Read more by her for most of the year till I realized she just doesn't think before she speaks, and not to take her statements personally. I was frustrated with the 2nd grade teachers lack of flexibility toward my child, choosing that the child shouldn't have a problem with things unless he had a problem himself. I should have been more firm about him getting what he needed, I know Mrs. Green would've been more than willing to work with us. You can choose to be as involved as you want at this school. I feel very privileged to have such caring staff to teach and care for my children. Any time I have had a concern, the teachers or staff were available and willing to help me fix the situation. Communication at this school is wonderful. I have always felt very comfortable here. In fact, when we recently moved, I asked for and received a boundary exception. I really feel that my children have the opportunity to reach their academic potential with the help of this school. This school does not just focus on the children who are struggling academically, but they also work with students who are already above average to increase and maintain their academic success. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
