Washington has a great mixture of students. The teachers have been there many years and are very supportive of their students. The principal is a very good communicator. The quality of teachers at BTW is fantastic! Each teacher my daughter has had has been above par! There is a great music program with both band and orchestra being offered. The PTA is highly involved in the school even though parent involvement is not where it should be. The principal cares

There is an accelerated reading program that the students are very adamant about as they are rewarded with a store at the end of each quarter in which to 'shop' with their accumulated points. (Provided by PTA.) PTA also offers an Art Masterpiece program in which parents present great masterpieces to students twice a month. The students love this progam! I've done it for 4 years and have seen the kids retain what they've learned over that period of time! Overall BTW is a great school! Read less

My son attended Washington from Kindergarten through 2nd grade. I was very pleased with the teachers. The office staff was quite rude on numerous occassions. The playground individual was also very rude and when my son injured his head on the playground, did not send him to the nurse. I was not pleased

Although I did not give our school highest marks in all areas, I still love the school. My son started here in 1st grade and is now going into the 6th grade. He has grown academically and socially in his environment. All the teachers have a great repoire with their students and they each work hard

I also work at this school and have had the opportunity to work in a few of the classrooms (various grades)to observe the way our teachers perform, I wouldn't change any way they teach. Advanced Placement
