This is a great school. I love the way the teachers and school staff communicate with the students and parents. Mr. Pries is always around speaking with the kids.

I continue to be impressed by this school. We have been here since it opened and this year is the best yet. Most of the teachers are back and the office staff has really improved since the secretary left last year. I am also happy that it is a Performing Plus school for the second straight year.

Ny child attended this school for her last half of her 8th grade year and she didnt like it at all. The teachers couldnt control the class and there are many bullies. They were very disorganized and they dont really do fun activities in class. She would tell me that teachers would see students doing ...  Read more

My child has attended this school for the second year, I am concerned about the relaxed disciliplary policies at the school. Many bullies, kids getting beat up in restrooms and many 1st year teachers. Many are not prepared to handle the complex problems that come with such a diverse environment. If ...  Read more

My son is in first grade. He's been at Desert Meadows since it opened August 2007. He liked(s) all his Teachers and is active in the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA). His speech therapist, Ms. Tracy is excellent. Kinder's Zoophonics program rocks. Kinder, first & second grade Teachers all share ...  Read more

This will be my daughter's second year at DM. She is in 5th grade and the class size seems to be growing. I am concerned about the number of school bullies which has also increased in size, the principal's laid back attitude about responding to parent calls and emails, and I even went so far last year ...  Read more

Mt child attends D.M. and I believe that it is the best school in the District. Mr. Packard does a great job keeping his students on task and in control. I have heard some parents complain about his strict standards, but I can tell you from experience that by the end of the year each student is far ...  Read more

The classes at this school are severely overcrowded. My child's class has nearly 40 students and I am told there are no plans to hire additional teachers anytime in the near future. Last year the school had major discipline problems and Mr. Preis was very poor about returning phone calls when I had ...  Read more

I have two daughters who attend Dessert Meadows. Both of them really like the school. As another parent mentioned there are behavior problems and some teachers do not have control over the class. My 4th grader had 3-4 teachers through out the year and this is a huge concern for me this year. Overall ...  Read more

I am a parent of 2 children who attend Dessert Meadows. My kids love the school. The first thing I ask everytime they comes home is how's school and my kids says they were enjoying their classes and their teachers everyday. They are always excited to go to school everyday.
