What a great school! The principal is very involved and a great administrator. The teachers work together as a team and there is good parent involvment. We have 2 years left in this school and I'm going to miss it!

awesome school. my daughter went to a charter school before manzanita. we were worried about sending her to a true public school. but we did and they are incredible there. they are so involved it is great.

Manzanita School has always focused on academics first and foremost. During the 2003-04 school year, our Gifted 5th grade class out scored most, if not all, of the country. Our Chess Clubs have won First Place in competitions year after year. We also have Drama and Athletic Clubs. Art is provided

Music and Physical Education are both required classes. The teachers and support staff at Manzanita School are second to none. Parent involvement is not only encouraged, but organized and actively sought. Parent volunteerism is high, not only in their own childs class, but in other classrooms and functions as well. Read less

This use to be a school, I really didn't care for that much. I am now happy my children are attending this school. The principal is great and the teachers actually expect the children to work. Kids are happier because they are actually getting good results back from the assignments.

I think Manzanita School is head and shoulders above the other schools in our area when it comes to academics. Some of our scores may be slightly lower than some of the other schools, but what those scores do not reflect is at what level some students began at. This school has a proven track record
... Read more in the academic learning fields. I would like to see more parent involvement in all grades. This involvement is as simple as reading to your child/children EVERY night. Even 6th graders like to be read to. I would also like to see more parental involvement at the school. Even if your child is doing well, you may be just the person to help another child in another class see the path to easier, better learning. Come share what worked for you! Read less

We are so very happy to have had Mrs.Ford teach our child for 3 years now in the Multi-age program. We feel that the program really adds to the teachers developing relationship with the child and gives them the time needed to better guide the children. She is the BEST!!!

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
