In our opinion, this is an excellent public school. Does a rating of 'excellence' mean it is W/O problems...no one would be so naive... I want to make an additional comment b/c there may be some parents/students out there who do read this: The experience of any student is directly related to the parents
... Read more involvement with their teen in this process...not an isolated kid who comes home to an empty house (obviously there are exceptions). By in large a loving, supportive, and parent(s) involvement in their teens life reflects many +'s that may not be picked up by the school. So, we see many excellent students, involved kids in the schools activities, parents who show up and support their teens, and engaging faculty with excellent email/etc communication. Therefore, yes, this IS AN EXCELLENT SCHOOL...PROVIDED the parents are involved...we see the problems deriving from anything other than this... Read less

I was surprised at some of the negative comments left by parents and students about EFHS. As a parent, I am very pleased with Estrella Foothhills High School. The school is not too big, and not too small. They provide ample time for the students to complete their work in class, which results in not

Their committment to the Arts and athletics is unsurpassed by any other high schools in the area (with the exception of Litchfield Park). The only negative is there are many students who attend EFHS that do not live in the community and may be judgemental due to the economic differences. The familes who live in Estrella, probably make more than the median family income for the area. Read less

Majority of my teatchers are very intellegent but others should not have gotten into teaching. We moved from an exceptionally good school district to Estrella Foothill this year. It was a very difficult adjustment for our family. No homework, no friends, no one to have lunch with. We spoke to each of our teachers, coaches and the administration. We learned what we could do to help our son to

Whichever student said the students at Estrella are easy to get along with are dilusional. They are most certainly the snottiest, stuck-up, and rude set of children you will ever come across! if you're not in a group, you are not a part of anything, therefore you have no sense of indentification and

As for the students being down right spoiled brats, not all of them are that way, but the vast majority are, and they gang up. when one doesn't like you, they all don't like you. Are there things being done about it? No. The teachers get pleasure from this, and fuel more energy to the source. i would not advise any one outside of the estrella community to go there unless your personality fits that of which i have described. Great teachers but the administration needs to be held accountable for their poor decisions. Once your child is targeted by them, it's a nightmare. I completely agree with the parent who posted the review on Monday September 8. It is a hostile environment for kids. Your child is guilty until proven innocent....interesting

It's hard to believe that this school could possibly rate an 8. The staff just passes the kids along, no homework, poor leadership. They need to stand up and educate these kids, give them something to reach for instead of teaching them that just getting by is ok. I have seen papers returned home that
