My daughter brings home all high A & B for her freshman year, except for her finial she gets low B in reading & high C in math. I thought she was doing ok by the papers & report card grade I seen through the year. Went out & picked up couple work books that pretest for the chapters and then post

My daughter just graduated from copper canyon and I believe this school has several issues it needs to deal with. Starting from the teachers who are not educated enough to know how to teach to the adminastration who lacks in leadership and knowing how to bring in good teachers and how to guide and discpline

Very poor one on one education services. Teachers that I spoke to seemed very immature and unorganized. Some lacked a will to come to school and as they put it 'deal' with students.

... Read more have acadec because the kids are too lazy to learn enough to compete in interscholastic academics. The AP programs are disappearing because once the kids find out how difficult they are, they drop out or simply stop signing up for them. Although there are some good teachers there, the quality of student performance is terrible. Unfortunately, there are a slew of completely incompetent teachers there, too. Read less

In my opinion Copper Canyon used to be a very good school. Three years ago the school started having major problems with gangs, discipline as well as losing some real good teachers. I am so glad this is my son's last year. I can't take another year with the administrative staff. They do not seem to know what classes my son needs, he has been placed in unnecessary classes and told to make up classes that he does not need.

This school is one of the best schools I've been to. I went there for one semester and I loved it. The teachers were great, and learned a lot. ... Read more one area, they don't let them wander around the school. That is a mistake, they would be able to eat around campus. Other than that, this school is great, I recommend it to everybody. The school's academic programs are good which includes AP, and their equipment is brand new. The computer labs and computer classes all have brand new monitors and pc's. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
