Pick-up/Drop-off is a mess, but it's clear they have done all they can do with that and it just is what it is. Walking or busing is probably best. If your definition of encouragement to be involved means to come to your home, pick you up and then lavish you praise for helping, then no you would not be encouraged to be involved. ... Read more averages. This couldn't be done without great educators and good leadership. Our kids take the bus most of the time, so the drop-off/pick-up issue isn't that much of a challenge for us. From what I have seen though, if people would just be as polite as their kids, it would be much easier. There are a lot of great activities put on by the Dads' Club. Movie Nights, Cosmic Bowling, etc... Overall it is a great place for your children to be learning. Make it better by participating and being active in their school. Read less

The school is academically outstanding, teacher and regular staff are wonderful...the pick up/drop off and parking needs to be addressed though before a child is injured it is just a mess out there.

I have really enjoyed Settlers Point so far. My child began in Jan 06 for the second half of 2nd grade. Our teacher was not great, (she's gone now) but overall I liked the school. Academics are tougher and broader in Gilbert then our previous state. I love the Chess club. My child enjoyed the summer
... Read more VIK program and VIK after school is convenient. For 3rd grade, our teacher this year is new but fantastic! The Music program was really cute! I love that I can email her for issues/concerns and get bi-weekly progress on every grade my child receives. Advanced Placement
