I am in love with this school! The teachers are not weak in discipline, yet they make every lesson fun. ALP is a great program, with language being creative and math being actual fun (and the FISH philosohpy is a great educational tool). My teachers I have been most pleased with include Ms Stevenson,

She is kind and loving, and hears every student out. She has helped me on many occasions, and we have been pleased on every count. The school focuses more on curriculum than spirit, but incorperates spirit and a sense of family into every lesson. Ashland Ranch is a wonderful school and I suggest enrolling there to any Gilbert parent. Read less

I think the worst thing about Ashland Ranch is the traffic. Since this is an issue that has nothing to do with the principal, I have nothing negative to say. School District, HOA and City need to get some guidelines in place so that our kids are safer. Residents need to lighten up. You know where

Great school in spite of the principal, not because of her. We have had our three kids at this school and have been generally pleased with the results. Some really good quality teachers. The principal is a disaster. She does not respond to parental concerns and ignores persistent and obvious problems.

There are many good teachers at this school, particularly in the upper grades however the curriculum is in need of some changes, especially in the area of math. I think the younger grades need an increased emphasis on the math basics with more repetition of concepts through DAILY HOMEWORK. Yes, many

The attitudes of the parents at this school with regard to taking responsibilibty for their child's actions/homework/grades are amazingly poor. This could be a really good school but unfortunately there are too many negative, uninvolved parents to support this being a better educational environment. Math homework needs to relate to and be a review of what is being taught daily and a tougher approach with parents through stronger leadership is needed. Read less

My kids have been going to Ashland for awhile now and I just have to say I love all the teachers at this school. My son had Mrs. Martin and she teamed up with Miss Gore last year and it was the best thing for my son. First not only did it prepare him for going into 6th grade where they switch teachers,

He did really well on his Aims scores in math which incidently rose from 4th grades Aims. She pushed him and gave him the confidence he needed. This year has been great as well. He has 3 teachers and they are all great. Very friendly and personable. I like the staff as well. Read less
