I have a set of triplets in 1st and one in kindergarten at McDowell Elementary. This is an outstanding school. The teachers recognize and support teaching children at different levels within the same class. Discipline is reinforced and children are properly held accountable for making the right choice.

My children have attended McDowell Mountain Elementary school from Kindergarten through 2nd grade. The 3 years we have experienced have been amazing. The teachers are caring and dedicated and have provided my children with a wonderful foundation. The school truly cares about the students and the principal
... Read more Joanne Meehan knows all of the students by name. The school provides a music class, art class , chess club , computer lab and spanish class. This is also a school with caring and involved parents. The PTO is just one way to become involved. The school encourages parent helpers in the classroom so you can be a partner in your child's education. Read less

My Kindergartner couldn't be in a better school. McDowell Mountain is a fantastic place for kids to learn and grow. The emphasis I've seen on learning makes it so much fun for my daughter! I've volunteered in the classroom and can say, from first-hand experience that this school gets an A+ from me!

McDowell Mountain Elementary is not only a great school for my children but also for me as a parent. McDowell Mountain offers a variety of parent courses to help parents learn teaching tools and skills to help their children with work study habits, reading/vocabulary, etc. My child has also benefited

McDowell Mountain is a great school. My daughter is getting a great education and enjoys going to school daily. Advanced Placement
