My daughter is a current 7th grader in the TELC program. She is very proud of her progress & accomplishments this year, & I am also very pleased with the accountability the students must display. I like the '80% +'for the average the students must maintain and YAY for the dress code. School is for learning~

As my daughter ends her first year in the TELC/Above and Beyond (Gifted Students) Program, I am quite satisfied with FMS and TELC; They have challenged her for the first time, and she has spent many nights working hard when she misses assignments, she stays after school, and she is held accountable for

I had some trouble at the start of the year in regards to her absences and some special circumstances of hers, but after several meetings and my parental involvement, it was cleared up. I am not allowed to be an overly protective Mom, lol, as her teachers simply won't allow me to speak for her; she is 13, and considered 'gifted,' thus she can speak for herself! I fought that for a while, but once I realized that she is capable of vocalizing herself, things worked out. Tough curriculum, but worth it! Read less

My child attends this school, I have a problem with the way the office staff treats the kids. I use to think that my child was the one with the problem but after hearing the things that are being said I think its the teachers attitudes toward the students.

The TELC (or NASA) program at the school is very good. The teachers are nice. There are lots of extracurricular activities. The level of parental involvement is moderate. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
