DHS is a performing plus school and has made AYP again. The Advanced Placement program is outstanding. ... Read more lot of mediocre ones, something that is expected at any school. There are honors classes and opportunites for students to co-enroll in the local community college in town. There are architecture, art, agricultural, culinary, and dance electives for the students to take. Parent's are involved in this school at a medium level, its usually the same parents that are involved over and over again. Overall, the school excells more in its extracurriculars than in it's academics. Read less

I have know for a fact that a handful of teachers at this school do not earn their share. I can name a few teachers that do not teach their classes. All they do is give them an easy A and pass them on to someone else. Plus, an awful lot of students do not listen to the very few good teachers becuase

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
