Like a dead tennis ball Meets the 'average' (sort of) all around ticket. No inspiration to move on (because no gifted program exists); no early interventions available until 3rd grade (at which point students are already 1-2 grades behind); minimal external program involvement with real world organizations.

Along with traditional academics, this school offers terrific exposure to music, art, sports, and many after school programs. Students are made aware of the rules to be followed and related disciplinary consequences. However, I have a concern regarding the 'make your day' program. While the concept

I have concerns that this has a negative impact on self esteem for those children who take this activity seriously. I also believe that many children just go through the motions of saying '10' when they are asked and think the activity is ridiculous and funny. Either way, I would rather see this time in the classroom better spent on academics. Other Cave Creek schools do not practice this. Read less
