As the class of 2009 Vice-president, I can honestly say that this schools academics, are top notch, and has caring teachers. The sports teams are outstanding, having at least one team place in their district meets, per season. I would Highly recommend this school to all who with to gain a higher education

As a Junior I have too say I would not want too attend any other school I have two great years here and I am anticipating the next two. They have great activities such as BAnd, Sports, Clubs, and ROTC so I feel welcomed and more involved I also feel a since of peace everytime I step on the campus so

I too have had a bad experience with the disiplinary staff. Hearsay is the truth and your child is guilty until proven innocent. Once she has your child on her radar, anything that comes up will be your childs fault.

My son is in good hands at WVHS. The teachers, counselors, and administrators are caring and keep me informed of my child's progress. Meet the Teacher Night was excellent. ROTC members helped us find our way around. Now a bonfire is going on. What a novel idea! I am so pleased and proud my son

I have two children attending Westview, a junior and a sophomore. I whole heartily recommend Westview to anyone considering it. My children are from a traditional school and I find that the quality of the AP and advanced classes matches what they were getting at the traditional school where everyone
... Read more is treated as if they were gifted. They have two hour blocks of teaching for each subject and that really enhances the lessons taught. Also, a mandatory 20 minutes (SSR) has been added to every class for free reading. I have talked with parents whose children are also in high school and I feel that mine are getting a better education and experience than those at other schools. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
