My daughter began Rio Vista since 2nd grade and is now in 7th grade and she loves it there. The teachers are supportative and helpful. Rio Vista's 7th grade staff is probably the best group of teachers I've met. But Ms.Post, Mr. Dostal ....... are committed,involved and encouraging. PTO is very disappointing
... Read more I have signed up 2 yrs in row and have never been called and my offers of involvement have gone unanswered. The after-school programs are non-existent except for drama. Music is gone from average to embarassing. My daughter has been complaining for 3 years that the teacher does not discipline enough or practice and show them hands on enough. This school is really working hard to continue to give each child a good education and a safe environment for them to learn. I have had my daughter in this school for 3 years now and it has been a positive experience and the teachers have all amazing!

My two boys began Rio Vista mid-year of 4 & 7th grade and the transition went beautifully. The teachers were supportative and helpful. My daughters attended Rio Vista for 2 years and then my husband and I moved to the Union District. Their father moved back to the Rio Vista District just so they could return to school there. We've had a great experience at Rio Vista. The teachers all seem to care and work hard. The pricipals respond

My son has attended Rio Vista for approximately 3 years now, I have no complaints. The staff is awesome and very concerned for the well being of our children. There is constant communication between students, teachers and parents.

My children have attended Rio Vista for 2 years, now and we have very few complaints. One point of concern, though, when a teacher is absent, often times the class is split up and divided among other teachers' classes and during this time, there is little or no instruction. My daughter was just barely transitioned out of resource math at her previous school and we were informed that she'd just be placed in a regular math class. There has been no individual help and teachers have been disrespectful and unattentive to her. She

My daughter has just been miserable at the school and hates to go. I get the feeling that parental involvement is perceived as a nuisance by the teachers and is not welcomed. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
