This school has it's problems, more then a few of those are almost entirely in the hands of the parents. People can blame who ever they want for the institution's short comings, but in the end it is up to the student to learn. I am tired of schools that hold students hands through high school. I like

the campus is great!! they have updated the bathrooms and everything else, if you were to see the campus you would know that time was put into it! the school is amazing, yeah maybe some of the funds go to athletics but they fiixed that and the teachers love to help the students, they want everyone to

I went to Agua Fria for 3 years. My sophomore year i was in texas and couldn't wait to get back. The teachers here are amazing. The ROTC program rocks. I have been to a couple high schools and this is the one i felt at home at. Teachers really do care about their students, or at least that is how i felt.
... Read more I think they could use more funding for things like a home coming parade. Considering we are the oldest and we definitely deserve one more than Verrado (who's coming home for them?!?!?) I have a child who is entering their third year at this school, and both my child and I have been saddened by its steady decline. If your child wants to learn a language other than Spanish or German, you'll have to find another school. If your child has creative interests, make sure the class hasn't
... Read more been cancelled due to lack of funding. My feeling is that too much funding is being funneled into athletics and long overdue campus improvements and not enough into academics. The students bathrooms are often closed for repairs that never seem to come. AF feels like the red-headed stepchild of the district, unloved and underfunded. Read less

I have a child attending this school for the first time and to be honest to this point I am a bit disaapointed. Intitally we were excited and thought sure it is in a older part of town and seems as if district forgot that taxpayers live in this area too. No upgrades have been done to this campus other
... Read more than the new gym, from what I've been told by current students the restroom & athletic facilities are not in the best condition. This makes me upset as a parent and taxpayer as I see that Millennium, Desert Edge and Verrado seem to be getting the better half of funding for structure improvements. How can you expect kids to take pride in their campus if the district doesn't seem to support the idea of renovating old structures to keep them equal to their sister schools in the district. I recently graduated from this school (2006) and have gone on to attend Seattle University. Being a part of the third generation of my family that have gone to Agua Fria, I feel that attending this school has prepared me for the difficulty of college. The teachers were (and still are) very supportive

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
