It meets and exceeds all Title I regulations and AYP criteria, which is no small task. Go to the AZ Dept. of Ed. website to view the law and standard requirements. This school was underperforming and is now a performing plus school. It was a 'bully' school and is now a kid safe and friendly school. Last year this school had a new principal. This principal and staff have really turned the school into a wonderful small-home town school with small classes and concern

I have found that the princal dont care and the higher up grades the teacher dont care The school has a big effort to leave paret out of everything clasroom visits field trips.My children willnot be going back if things dont change. I love working at Avalon. I have an amazing class who challanges me and keeps me on my feet each and everyday. I feel blessed to have found such an amazing principal and a great staff. The staff works very well together and I am seeing great things everyday.

This school has wonderful teachers and staff. This year we have been able to spend more time in bringing new and exciting ideas of learning into the classroom instead of spending so much time in classroom management (compared to last year). Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
