compared to the schools i have gone to in the past it is pretty good. the teachers are nice but the principles are a pain. they could be a lot better if they actually listen to the students rather than always just listening to what the teachers say. the teachers are not always right.

Academic programs are good, extracurricular activities-could be better, parent involvement is good. I don't think the dress codes and other rules are dominated like they should be. The girls athletics don't get enough recognition as the boys sports. The money for the sports activities need to be
... Read more distributed more evenly.They need head coaches for each sport not someone that is tied up with another sport and can't do the other until the first one is over. Fall ball for baseball and softball would be nice. Tryouts for all sports the first of the year would be nice so everyone could try out at one time. Though Searcy prides itself for being one of the top schools of the state, it is far from the best. I attended the school last year and it was a major let down. The teachers pick their favorites and really don't seem to care (not all of them, but most.) It's quite hard to make friends with anoyone too

Searcy High School has an excellent academic program and also excellent extracurricular programs. Since Searcy is a college town, most of the parents are education oriented; there fore, there is a lot of parental involvement. This always helps a school distict. The honors classes at Searcy High School

I attended Searcy High school and graduated in 1987. As every school has its ups and downs, however, Searcy High seemed to be open and accepting to the students. I was certainly not one of the kids from the wealthy families, but that did not seem to have an impact. The faculty were all approachable,

This school is honestly a descrase to Searcy. Many families come here for the school district but Searcy High School is a major let down. Advanced Placement
