Scott Elementary is a wonderful school. I have two children at this school and they have both received a wonderful education. I have family in a private school and my daughter is studying on a higher level than my niece in a higher grade and making better grades. All schools have some problems, however
... Read more Scott has wonderful, caring teachers and a great staff! All Arkansas schools need their buildings improved and to degrade one school because of roof leaks when it has so much to offer doesn't make much sense. The PTO is ran by parents and the meetings are scheduled by parents, not the school. I have been a member of the PTO for five years and they have accomplished alot. Most parents are actively involved in all school functions. This is a great place to send your child and I would recommend it to anyone (and have!) Read less

Scott Elementary... I would not recommend this school to anyone looking! The school has had the same play ground equipment since I was in school there.(20 yrs. ago) The PTA (when 'they' had one) never could get 'their' schedules together. Then you are a bad parent if you aren't able to attend the meeting...oh
... Read more but then again they are at 2:00 in the afternoon when most people work! My child had 5 teachers in the 2nd grade, the next year it took all year for my child to catch up on learning what my child should have learn in the second grade! (on top of that my childs teacher was not in to teaching at all and even would tell you that.)there is not any communication, they will not take of any business of any sort! the roof leaks. Finally I took my child out and that was the best thing I should have done a long time ago.(The Teacher he would have had was a new one to teaching we didn't need that) I would take a tour for myself and ask some questions and see for myself...it will not take much and you will see. Also if you are looking for a school and are wanting to buy a home I would give this some thought...after 5th grade your child has to go about 30 miles to another school. good luck!
