I have 2 children attending PGHS. Sadly, we have our share of teachers who forgot why they wanted to teach but we are blessed with a few who are amazing. This school is terrible nothing is learned here! The administration is worried about other things than how the students perform in the classroom. The teachers just don't care. favoritism is heavely used. Football is all that seems to matter at pg! so if u care about ur kids getting any kind of education

Prairie Grove school system lacks a lot! The students cannot spell, read, write worth a darn. Math is so outdated it's sad. Penmanship is NOT required! Half of the football team are not required to maintain a 2.0 average yet they can play football. Get a grip. Education is first! Then sports. I agree 100 percent with the other comments about our School. I have always loved the staff and they do go above and beyond for my children. The faculty offers after school free tutoring and I see the band teacher s vehicle there sometimes as late as 6 on my way home from work. I also agree that the
... Read more new administration is ridiculous. It seems since the new superintendent arrived we have lost teachers and senior faculty. Its not spoken but its obvious that there is tension amongst the staff. A small school feels that they need a assistant superintendent position, what a waste of tax payers money. Academic mediocrity is deeply entrenched here. No meaningful recognition of excellence exists (i.e. no recognition of valedictorian, AP courses, etc.). Kids who take college courses are penalized because these grades are not differentiated from high school vo-tech courses like agriculture. Neither

The end goal for the school seems to be having a high school diploma with about half of the graduates being admitted to college. But look at how few students remain in college after even just a year or two. They are set up for failure. In short, Prairie Grove is a great town in which to raise a child. However, if you want them to be prepared for college, send them to Fayetteville. Read less

Any donation ever made from the school is locked up so tight its like fort Knox trying to withdraw it for the programs it was intended for. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
