I am very disappointed on choosing to send my child to Williams. Like someone said in another review, I feel that if your child is in anyway, somewhat active or doesn't sit completed quiet and still at all times unless they are on the playground this is certainly not the school for you. I decided
... Read more on Williams based on academics, but I feel that children are not given a chance to make the transition . I have a child in kindergarten there. The leadership is also lacking in this school. Children are not always perfect, but at Williams they need to realize that sometime leadership isn't either ( and that's on all levels at this school). Williams need to learn how to help a child where they are. I have failed my child in given him a start here and look forward to a brand new beginning. Read less

My child went to Williams from kindergarden to fifth grade. We love Williams. As with any school, be it private or public. You being involved in your childs education plays a big part. No, not all of the teachers my daughter had were good, but when they saw that I was a concerned parent, it was different.

Awesome school! Involved parents, wonderful, caring teachers and para-professionals. Even the cafeteria ladies and the custodial team know, and are known to the students. If you are not involved in your child's homework, classwork, clubs, and your child's teachers and friends -- this school is not

We love Williams Magnet and all that our kids have learned there. Academics are emphasized along with being a good citizen, meaning helping others, listening, obeying rules and respecting other people and their property. This school is the nicest school I've been to. Their behavior requirements have made me a better person. The afterschool activites have given me higher self esteem and my friends there have excelling behavior and great personalites. I do agree the aids do need to be more strict walking us down the hallway.

I decided to send my child to this school based on academics only. However, I soon realized that a child will not do their best if a child is not happy and excited about the school. This school needs to allow children to be children. I fear for some of those kids self esteem. What good is being smart

Although the parental involvement seems high (and I was very involved in my child's education), I did not enjoy our year there--and neither did my child. We will not be returning. The school was too large for my taste, had poor (and rude) supervision during recess, and didn't challenge the students

My child is outgoing, intelligent and friendly --but never really felt happy being there--and she does love school. The staff aides were intimidating and non-personable and often talked inappropriately to the children. The playground was not very safe and I could go on but I won't. I'm not trying to speak for anyone but us we didn't care for the experience. Read less
