This is my son's 4th year at Fulbright. He loves it! Each year we have been lucky to have wonderful teachers. They have all taken extra time to challenge him and to instill in him a desire to challenge himself. His teachers and the administration have always made themselves available.

When we moved here from antoher state, eveyone told us how lucky we were to be in the fulbright Zone. Maybe it's because I was comparing it to our former school, but I was shocked at how the aides we allowed to yell at the kids. We put in one year, then were thrilled when my daughter's name came up

I have two children at fulbright, and I have to say I am extremely pleased. This is their 2nd year, and they both love it! the only thing I can say that I have not been happy with is the principal seems to not be with it at times. I have tried to contact her on 2 occasions this year, and get no response

This is not a school for the easily distracted, ADHD, or kids who cannot concentrate with a lot of noise. The school is 'open' meaning that the classrooms are not separated by doors and walls, but rather partitions and curtains, so you hear noises from the other classes around you. Its very loud all
... Read more the time. Even the library is not in a closed room. Each of the class areas has an open window out to the hallway, which carries noise from the hallway into the classroom. My child finds it very hard to concentrate and pay attention due to the noise, and this is not well understood by his teacher who believes a 9 year old is capable of sitting still, and concentrating for 5 hours out of the day and ignore the very loud noises of the open space school. My child has special needs and has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). At first it was difficult to get cooperation in having her IEP implemented. However, once I let the principal know that I was serious about having it put into action, she and the other staff responded with respect and enthusiasm.

Although Fulbright may not have the highest test scores, I believe the reason is because Fulbright has a lot of chilren with special needs. Academic programs, availablility of music, art and other extracurricular activities is good. Fulbright probably has the best parent involvement of any elementary school in Little Rock. My child's fifth grade teacher is our favorite. We will miss Fulbright Elementary, home of the Falcons. We believe that Fulbright Elementary is the best elementary school in the Little Rock School District. Read less

This is one of the best schools in the Little Rock School District. The teachers are highly qualified and show creativity and flexibility with their teaching. The principal is very involved and approachable. The parent involvement is high. My son walks home from school, where he is escorted by an adult
... Read more as far as allowable. The only complaint I have is the carpool line/traffic in the mornings. Traffic is high on Pleasant Valley Drive and not all drivers appear to be concerned they are in a school zone. But as for the school, I am very pleased. Read less

Advanced Placement

Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
