They get to learn and do a lot of things no other middle school kids can. The test scores will come up cause they believe in the kids and are really working hard to get them ready. I am a parent who was quite apprehensive about putting my child in Cloverdale. In fact, I called downtown and complained about the strict environment during the first week of school. I was very angry. Within an hour the principal, Mr. Fields called to inquire about my frustration. He explained his

Read more vision and mission for the school and asked me to come and visit the school during the most choatic times of any school day, morning , lunch, between classes or at the close of the day with out warning; before passing judgment on the school. I did. I was in utter awe at the unbelievable control and discipline that is displayed at the school. I ended up staying three hours. I know the scores are not at the point were they need to be, but this new principal is great. This is not his first school were he has rise up the test score and made our kids feel special.

I really love how Cloverdale has changed. I heard it was one of the worst schools in the District, but after they changed principals and added some good teachers. The school is now making great strides at becoming one of the best. I'm very impressed with their Junior ROTC program. No other middle school

I feel this school should be shut down as well. The office staff and teachers are very unconcerned about the well being of the children. They have been placed on the list of schools that need improvement and I definitely see why. This has been the absolute worst experience for me and my children.

I do not just believe but I know this school needs to be shut down. This has got to be the worst school I have ever seen in my day. The teachers are so unconcern. The 'special education' teacher has many jobs that takes away from the student's 'learning time.' I am highly disappointed in this school

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
