My daughter goes to HHS. I really like her teachers so far, they keep in contact with me via email. I try to stay as involved in her education as possible. I do feel like the principal is a bully, and I think he picks favorites. He tries to intimidate the students, and the parents. I'm not sure why

I am a student at Huntsville High School and I feel that the principal can be strict at sometimes but, it is for the students own good. He wouldnt get upset with them if they werent doing something they weren't supposed to. I feel very safe going to school here and most of the time Mr. Gray is very nice

... Read more of the kids but so does the administrative staff. I feel safe knowing my kids are under our principals watchful eye. The once rampant drug and violence problems are virtually non-exisitant now. Yes, HARRT is a great group, so is EAST, International Club, Chess Club,football (except for the coaches) all the kids are great and should be encouraged equally, which they are! GO Eagles! The principal has been nothing but kind to us. When my daughter was being stalked, he was understanding, protective, knowledgeable, and supportive. ... Read more at most of our sports, and therefore has hired coaches accordingly. (The coaches who've been around for awhile, are great coaches.) As for the rest, why not put a little more of those tax dollars on a qualified coaching staff for 4A schools? ... Read more a variety of other useful things. They are responsible for conducting the emergency plan for the high school. They show how much a group of well trained, motivated teenagers can do when given a chance. Their sponsor is a special person. The one part of the high school that is not very good has been the shift from a block schedule to a 7 period day. It has been very hard on our students and was not a popular move. The principal is a bully with little concern for either the students or the parents. He needs to go away. Read less

... Read more for some reason you don't hear the school talk much about them. Ask any of the Red Cross people in Fayetteville and they'll tell you just how impressive they are. They have assisted on several missing persons searches and provide 1st aid at the Razorback football games in Fayetteville. Whoever is in charge of them must be dedicated. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
