Magness Creek is an excellent school! It's true that it is at it's max capacity but Cabot already has another school in the works to help out with the overflow. The principal and her staff are all very attentive and warm to the students. I am in the school volunteering a couple of times a week and

Teachers are attentive, nuturing and stern when needed. My children truly enjoy going to school at Magness Creek and I enjoy volunteering. When we relocated to the Little Rock area, my husband and I toured many elementary schools in and around the area. We were most impressed with Magness Creek's administration. They were genuinely interested in our kids and our kids' needs. Read less

There are issues with administration at this school. Several authorities at the school act as if they don't even like kids. I dread sending my daughter back for her fourth year and I am looking at other options. I have been in the lunchroom one too many times hearing the children being yelled at constantly

Sounds wonderful!!! The truth is the classes are at the max. The student teacher ratio is at the states max. The students and teachers are in a no win situation. The school district has set them up for failure. Don't look for any sympathy, they are following state guide lines.

My son is a special needs student. I am not happy about this school in regards to special ed. I spent a whole year fighting with them in regards to his education. I should have asked other parents first about special ed in these schools before moving to this district.

We had a very good experience with this school. There are some excellent teachers here and the parental involvement is wonderful. I would have to disagree with the last reviewer about one thing- the new principal. I have not heard one parent this year who is pleased. I don't think it affects the school,

I have a friend who desperately tried to talk to her and have her child moved out of a class. She wouldn't listen and this child spent a pivital year with an absent teacher (literally and figuratively). This is an exception though- for the most part the teachers are excellent . Read less

A good school relative to Arkansas standards on curriculum. Not for gifted, or special needs students. My son is both, we were supposed to get according to his IEP, speech services which never happened. Countless hours arguing with the school for simple accomodations, ie. front row seating, a note
... Read more home. Special education as a whole was hostile with any parental involvement ie. 30 min. arguing just so I could have my son's school records because I was moving. Gifted accomodations are poor at best. Academically I thought the school was very slow compared to other states. Probably still one of the best public schools in Arkansas though (sad, but true). The reading programs were sketchy, and non researched pieces of this and that. My son did have a nice teacher though and the Principal was nice and very active with the kids which is a good thing.
