Blytheville High School is not a terrible school. This school is working towards improving test scores, just as many school districts are struggling to do. There are many good teachers with many great programs that are available for students to take advantage of. There are many positive things about

I must say that Blytheville High school is a terrible school. I graduated in 2001 and I have paid close attention to the schools progress since then because I still have family unlucky enough to attend the schools there. Since then the school has went down hill. The extracurricular activities have
... Read more suffered to to lack of funds. Everything now is considered gang related if you wear a blue or maroon tee shirt and certain shoes. Children are not allowed to wear coats in the classroom and there is little heat to warm the room. Some teachers are excellent workers, although several could care less if the student learns. I would strongly suggest that you not send your children here, if you must not. It is not a good school to attend. Read less

I attended BHS for four years. I absolutley loved it. I had a good relationship with all of my teachers and I studies and made good grades. I followed the rules by tucking in my shirt and wearing my ID to school. Those who didn't follow the rules were the ones were the ones with bad grades and problems
... Read more with teachers. Maybe it helped that my parents were very involved and I was in Beta Club, NHS, Yearbook Staff, TARGET, and I was a cheerleader. If you get involved then you don't have time to be introuble. I really feel that Blytheville High School is a poorly developed school. Some of the teachers at the school really believe that education is an important issue. This year there were so many complaints about the Homecomin Week that had taken place. There were no activities for the kids to participate in and the parade was taken away. Years ago that was the highlight of high school. Something really needs to happen if our children is going to make it in todays world.
