We are at the close of our third year at this school and are still as pleased as we were the first day. I feel secure in knowing that our children's educational goals are being supported by each and every faculty member and that they are being more than adequately prepared for college and for a successful future. They teach morals as well as a love for Jesus and I know these young people will accomplish much in their lives as a result of the education and learning enviorment this school provides. The only drawback to this school is no band. parent involvement is high at this school. Read less

... Read more in the public school system. They also love the small classes where they can get a more tailored education. The faculty is very personable and are of the highest caliber in the the Tuscaloosa area. From theatre to track, the extracurricular activities are well organized by highly qualified faculty members. The academic programs are challenging with lots of opportunities for enrichment. Tuscaloosa Academy is a true college prep school with high expectations of everyone including parents. We could not be happier with our decision to attend! Read less

We chose Tuscaloosa Academy for our children cause they have the highest SAT scores in town, and the most merit scholars per student ratio. We have an excellent art and sports program. There is alot of bullying in the junior high by some of these individuals. Overall, it is a great school acacemically,

We have been really happy at TA. We are in our 4th year at TA and now have a 3 year old in PS and a 6 year old in 1st grade. I've been extremely happy with the Lower School and the level of one on one attention we get. It's a small enough place that people know each other and develop good friendships.

I would think long and hard about enrolling a child in Tuscaloosa Academy. The academics are adequate, however if you are an 'outside' family you may receive a substantial amount of personal bullying. It's a very expensive place to have your children mistreated.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course.
