Over the past few years Walker has gone down. The football team has crashed and they are just now starting to level out. The teachers and staff have started to care less and less about the students and more about themselves.

The academic programs at Walker High School are outstanding. AP classes are now offered, and Walker has produced at least one National Merit Finalist in each of the last five years. The faculty has exceptional credentials. The teacher-student ratio is very low, especially in advanced/honor classes.

As a former student of Walker High School, I can say that I received a quality education that prepared me for my undergraduate and graduate studies. Teachers at Walker are highly qualified to teach their respective subjects. Counselors aid students in choosing a proper path after graduation. Walker

I think Walker High was a very positive experience both from a social and an academic perpective. The science and math programs stick out in particular, as the labs have better than usual equipment for the high school level. Computational resources are excellent, as I revist campus every once in awhile,

Dozens of clubs and sporting opportunities exist, so everyone should find a place to fit in. Most of Walker's shortcomings come in from the administation level. I only had to endure one year with the current assistant principal. Also, a lot of those great Science/Math/Computer resources aren't being expoited appropriately in the curriculum. Why no programming classes or 2nd semester chemistry? Read less

I went to this school my freshman year in 2003-2004. I would say this would be the best school to go to in walker. But after transfering to my new high school, Walker was very disappointing. The teachers are pretty cool, but the Assistant principal is very disliked and has no control over the students.

The teachers spread roumors and they can make up some lies to. I am very glad I left there, my new school is alot better. Better people, teachers are somewhat not as good, but the technical classes are way better. Now I have a chance of getting certifications during my high school. The students at walker are mostly cool, mainly the band. Read less
