I graduated from JHS in 2006. I honestly believe it is a top school in the state. Of course a school can have its own problems. Students have a responsiblity to themselves and the school to study and work hard to pass these classes which are no walk in the park. I love JHS it is the Best. GO AGGIES.

Recently, I pulled My Child Out Of Jackson High.Im Not sure what everyone Else is seeing in Jackson High School, But My View is Typically Not The Same.Jackson High School Needs A Lot of work And Surely A New staff That Cares About The Kids.Overall, i Would Not take my child Here Under Any Circumstances.

I am a graduate of jhs with a child there now! if i didn't believe in the school, i would never have elected to send him there. As with all schools there are areas that need improvements, but it will come in due time. The majority of the staff are excellent teachers, but they can't do it alone. There ...  Read more

JHS is a school on the rise. I feel that the old Jackson High School spirit is returning to Jackson. We need a PTA and more involvement from parents in booster clubs as well. I believe that the lack of involvment by parents is the main reason for poor moral by the student body of JHS. I would also like ...  Read more

I am grateful to Dr. Flowers for her help and faith in me. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The football team may not be so great but the guys have heart. The cheerleading squad is fabulous. Baseball, softball, and basketball are huge at JHS. Homecoming at JHS is a blowout. The tarp signs are ...  Read more

I am a parent and I have also had the plesure of working with some High School Seniors that did not pass their exit exam after several attempts. Remediation is provided by outside programs, but I feel it comes a little too late. This remediation should begin after the students fails test the first ...  Read more

I am a 30 year old black female. I graduated from JHS in 1993. I must admit that I appreciate everything that I learned there, as it prepared me for college (Mrs. Haygood in particularly). I have a B.A. and a M.A. degree and I think my foundation at JHS had a lot to do with it. I was involved in ...  Read more

To the person who wrote a bad review about Jackson High School, I want to say thank you. Everyone in Clark County knows that JHS is the best school in the county. The academic standards at this school is very high and the facility is the best around. The teachers at JHS give their students the best ...  Read more

JHS is a good foundation for academics. Teachers and staff are devoted. There are areas that are lacking, I feel due to block scheduling. Our principal is not always receptive to change, however new faces are forcing the inevitable. School uniforms are not a problem. Student scores have only risen ...  Read more

I just want to comment on the parent who reviewed the school. Please tell me that you didn't go there b/c you used the wrong form of there, and it leaves much to be disired about your language. Try using the proper form, which is their (not there). It was a good school when I was there in the early '90's. ...  Read more
