I am a teacher at this school and could teach at any school in town, but particularly love it here. Our principal could not be more supportive or present in the building, in the classrooms, at the lunchroom on the ball fields/court. Most of our students excel in the classroom and we are able to differentiate

The teachers/staff are 'really' friends beyond the classroom and spend time bonding after 3:00 quite often. We are a real family here at Bumpus--with everybody lending a hand before being asked. This is a fantastic place to grow as a learner and be challenged to improve my instruction as a faculty member too. We moved from Riverchase to Bumpus. I couldn't believe the difference! My daughter went from hating school to loving it. Her peers act more like middle school students than grown women. Academically, the work is probably harder, but the teachers we've experienced are great motivators. I've not been

This school is so awesome. I always enjoyed the friendly teachers and Dr. Brown (the principal) always trying to learn everyone's names. I think that the extracuricular activities were fun and hands-on too. :) I have to admit that I love this school.

I had twins (boy and girl) at Bumpus Middle School for 2 years until we moved to Cullman. Our experience at Bumpus was excellent! The children were well taught and had plenty of extracurricular activities (and we were in most of them) to participate in. But best of all, the teachers and administration

Now days I think everybody even down to principals and school officials are in it just for the money no matter what school zone you are in and that is Hoover on down. I would probably have gotten a better response if my child was in a black school. Read less

My child attended this school for three years and was the worst experience of his life. He had special needs that the principal was not willing to accommodate. My son spent much time with the counselors as the principal allowed other children to verbally abuse our child repeatedly with no intervention

Don't really know that the teachers are 100% the best in their fields.
