Dauphin is not tolerant of slackers, either

If you are moving to Enterprise and desire that your 8th or 9th grader attend a safe, orderly school, focused on solid foundational academics and participate in a spirited student body, then live in the Dauphin school district. Well, I must say that They do spend too much time with the dress code, with the new pricipal this year. The classes are actually pretty basic, not very challenging to students. The teachers are a little rough. But, the school is in a nice condition, and is quite bigger and more organized than the other

There are no foreign language classes offered until 10th grade and it all makes me understand now an article in the paper recently stating that Alabama ranks one of the lowest in the country in preparing their children for college. There is a lot of talk about the Enterprise educational system being the best and maybe compared to other schools in Alabama it is. I am a student who goes to DJHS. I make all A's, and i love my teachers. We enforce dress codes and behavior for a reason. What's wrong with your son or daughter tucking his/her shirt in? Most other dress codes are directed toward gang symbols and conceiling items. Behavior isn't an issue at Dauphin,

Very disappointed in this school. New principal this year is all about control. Spends a lot of time worrying about dress code. What about inspiring these young minds to become better students, better people? This is a very authoritarian atmosphere that tries to scare the children into behaving
