Having my third child at Saint Benedict School now, should say how I feel. All schools may lack in areas and though out our 18 years at Saint Benedicts we have seen it. But the trade off is knowing our children are safe and well taken care of. Academic programs have improved in the last few years and
... Read more extracurricular activities are on a re-bound! The new principal has really kicked things in gear, which parents notice and the involvement is great! Our school boards continue to work hard along with the staff that sees a great improvement. The outlook looks great for Saint Benedicts and everyone's ready for the years to come. This school has been a disappointment. I am happy with the academics in the lower grades, math and reading in the upper grades are lacking. Our principal was ill this year and the assistant principal helped run the school. No plan is in place to cover long-term teacher or administrative illnesses,
... Read more or maternity leaves. The extracurricular activities were poorly planned with no one person coordinating all the coaches. Spanish and art were cancelled mid year. Softball and track were not available. Parent involvement is O.K. and could be better, but adminstration does not ask for volunteers. Communication is poor. Those of us who asked questions and offered solutions, trying to make positive change were ignored/blacklisted. My kids won't be attending next year. Discipline is so much better then public schools and the overall quality is great.There are a few staff changes that could be made, but for the whole part I'am glad to part of the school and would suggest you join the school. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
