This is our second year in the school and we have not seen any academic advantage compared to other schools in Birmingham. The atmosphere is stern even for the younger students. Great academically and wonderful student/teacher ratio. Wish that the children had more physical activities. The Advent Day School is an incredible school. I have had three children attend there and a forth will attend there in a few years. The staff, teachers and administrators are all wonderful to work with. The Christmas program - Lessons In Carols that the kids participate in every year is amazing.

I was more than prepared for the difficult highschool I attended after Advent and had developed an inherent will to succeed that will last me an entire lifetime. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School

Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
