I think our school is a little neglected when it comes to funding... but this is a great school its fun and you learn a lot and you are pushed to do your best. The teachers and students are friendly. even the camera man is friendly! it does have its downfalls though its kinda small and the halls are ...  Read more

I think the school does a fine job with what they are dealt. We are the only school in the county that has to share a board position with another town(Hackleburg). Nobody in the board cares about Bear Creek enough to do anything positive or promote growth in any program that is in the school. We are ...  Read more

I feel the school is great. All the kids are allowed to play sports and are treated equal. Parents do get involved with the school. I feel the teachers are wonderful with the students. I feel overall that this is a good school.

This school lacks the ability to challenge the advanced child. There are no programs for gifted students and all extra curricular is geared to the high school only. What about the middle school

Strengths: kids are taught a respect for authority and kids are generally polite and nonviolent Weakness: academics and no one to motivate kids to have a true love for learning nor to excel academically.

I think Phillips High School is a great school, It is the only school I have seen to see less discrimination between students. Everyone seems to be treated fairly. I also think the new principal has done quite well with disciplining the students.

I believe one of the best things that has happened to this school is the letting go of the male principal. Many kids were leaving due to his rudeness. I do agree that the present principal is too lenient. I worry about academics in the areas of english and science.

They should have kept Gerry Moses as principal, the new woman principal is way to lenient. She lets the kids do way too much. With a different principal my ratings would probably change.
