5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSince moving to Ferndale in 2019 I have been impressed with the sense of community and support offered to students in the Ferndale School District. While I’ve lived in other school districts with “better” ratings I’ve never seen a community come out in support of the kids the same way Ferndale does. The educators care about their students. Where there is an opportunity is a greater focus on academics. Especially in the elementary levels. I think if the academics were more robust in the elementary schools these kids would be better prepared to excel in high school. Occasionally I’ve needed to nudge the school district in the right direction when they stopped offering things like the PSAT.
