8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMoving our family from Arizona to Colorado was a big change, I worried about my 13 year old daughter adjusting to not only a new school with new people but a completely different environment. I am so happy and truly blessed to have her in this school; the schools in Arizona that she attended do not compare to this one. Parents that are able to raise a family in Steamboat Springs are incredibly blessed not only with the safe community, great resources but with the education system. The principal Ms. Chapman, my daughter's counselor Ms. Moss, her teachers Ms. McCannon, Ms. O'Hara, Mr. Weber, they are all incredible.Parent Review2y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 26355 High Ridge Rd.

"I don't work but I enjoy being close to the resort, the hot springs, and grocery shopping. It's also really close to the schools and downtown, so being involved in school programs and ski lessons at Howelson is easy."

"I work from home. The traffic can get a little congested during peak hours and tourist holiday, but nothing compared to Denver or other major cities. "

"My commute to work is a pleasant walk along the river. Driving can be difficult due to downtown parking restrictions. "

"It’s very dog friendly almost anywhere you take your dog but it’s pretty hard to rent with pets, some renters will allow small dogs mostly no cats and no large breed dogs. "

"This is a tourist tkwn. Very few year round residents. Their are dogs on the street. Some are let on restaurant patios"

"It’s nice, people are friendly, it’s beautiful all year round! Wish there was more than just local expensive shopping. Other than Walmart and City Market there aren’t too many other options for shopping. "

"This is not a pet friendly community. Almost all rental units forbid dogs and most of the home owners here are second home owners and do not actually live here. Therefore, if you are going to live here full time be aware that the city does not like dogs. Though most of the residents here do. "

"One of the more sought after neighborhoods, 3 minutes to town and 5 minutes to Mtn are. The landscaping is mature."

"We just moved here and we love it. It's close to everything. The "Core Trail" is seconds away, there is a bus stop right here and the Walton Creek is right across the street. We have a dog and it's great to jump on the core trail and walk around with no worries of vehicles. We can even jump on ur bikes and head downtown or up to the ski area. It's the best!"

"I live here, just a couple miles from Steamboat proper. It's quit, awesome family neighborhood. Our children are zoned to Strawberry Park Elementary. Neighbors are great. I don't miss not living "in town". We are there but not. We avoid busy weekends and tourist traffic. But the amenities and events , "in town" are there if we want it."

"This area continues to evolve as a summer and winter pedestrian-friendly neighborhood as well as a resort mecca. Base area planning includes a new waterway along Burgess Creek and summer recreation opportunities in the gondola plaza area. Some of Steamboat's best restaurants are walking distance and the nearby transit area buses will get you to the major supermarkets within five minutes, and downtown in 10."

"This part of Steamboat is up the hill from Soda Creek and out of the main flow of traffic...what little there is anyway. The lots are larger and mostly south-facing, providing great views of Mt. Werner (Storm Mountain). The lack of a true through-road keeps traffic to local access only. This area is a true find."
