6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a forum to tell about the experiences of your child at the school. NOT to cheer on the football team. As a former student of the Noxubee County School System I would like to say that wonderful memories are made and teachers work hard to see students succeed. Parents lets keep focus on what is important...I love the TIGERS as well. But I love the students more. NCSS has produced very productive citizens despite the need to weed out the political and family ties that make for an unfair scaling system. Test scores speak to the educational struggles of the public school system. But do not tell the entire story of some of the hard working staff and students that call the Noxubee County home.Other Review15y ago1 Reviews - B F Liddell Middle School

"Lots of local community flair. Events centered around the college are common, but they also have fairs and other events. "

"Always traffic. Always busy and congested at peak times Only on Main Street out of neighborhood. It’s a busy college town and a lot of popular neighborhoods on this side of town but u learn to give urself time to get places. It’s still better than being stuck in traffic jams on busy highways. I love my town and it’s a great place to raise children. Not to big and busy and not to little and boring. Has a lot of activities and opportunities for children and a lot of events regularly for adults. Something for everyone. "

"Great public transport, but I drive to work. Traffic is minimal at best. You can get anywhere in the city in 10-15 minutes"

"Many people allow their dogs to be off leash despite them being aggressive. That being said, leash laws are required within city limits, but enforcement is very lax."

"Cars in the neighborhoods drive fast, and no one really picks up after their pups either. Other than that I can’t think of anything!"

"This is a college town and caters very specifically to those in college. I feel very safe and am surrounded by people my age but i don’t go anywhere after dark alone just for safety reasons. "

"It’s only blocks to downtown, restaurants, shopping and to the MSU Campus. We’ve lived in this neighborhood for 6 years, although my husband has worked on the Campus for 24 years. "

"This neighborhood is highly desirable because of its location, quiet streets, and friendly neighborhood environment. Single access points prevent flow-through traffic, and allow for quiet streets while remaining nearly in the center of the city. All around a great place to live!"

"MSU makes this a great town lots of events, good new local hospital, airport about 20 minutes away with close cheap parking and very short check in times. Shopping could improve, but there are cities 2 hours or less away. People are friendly and helpful. Golf, boating, hiking, fishing and hunting all available."
