Over 100 years ago this property was used by local timber men who floated cypress logs down the Satilla River to be loaded on the railroad cars. There were log cabins with hand-made clay brick chimneys. The remains of these bricks, as well as broken dishes and utility bottles have been collected and saved. Several old horseshoes, cut nails and other hardware items have also been found. The kitchen has cypress cabinets, center island and cypress trim bull nose edging. There is cypress wainscot & trim throughout the house on the first floor. 3 bedrooms with ceiling fans, walls are insulated to prevent noise from rooms. Master bath has two person jetted tub as well as a full bath suite and porcelain sink. This home has so much history and is truly built to perfection.
