"This arts feels quiet and open. Very little traffic. Safe for kings and walkers. Yet it is close to everything on 101. "
  • Kevfrey%40gmail.com
"Halloween in the village oval. Apple and fruit trees bloom annually in the village. Dark night skies north of village. Clock tower chimes on 30 and hour resonate through town peacefully. Doggos everywhere,!"
  • Mark Channon

  • Karin1123
"Sweet place to raise kids. But maybe, it is not the best to retire - taxes, etc. There is a big community feel. "
  • Jreid
"Plenty of dogs around here! Would recommend living here if you have dogs. Wish there was a dog park though. "
  • Jreid
"Lots of dogs! Good places to walk them. Most dogs seem very friendly and the owners are as well. Lots of pet stores around as well. "
  • Ken.vessell
"Great schools , community is on point and police and fire departments work well together. We love the fact that it’s a close knit group of parents"
  • Leigh
"The neighborhood is very close to route 101. Route 101 is a major road connecting Interstate Highway, Route three and leads quite quickly to the Manchester international airport as well as interstate route 93. Everything is minutes away."
  • snrosado
"Very safe area....extremely well maintained grounds with about the lowest HOA in the area........"
  • roseannday
"Amherst is a safe but rather isolated community. If you can telecommute and enjoy hiking and skiing, it's a great option. If you need to commute to work, you'll face a challenge. "
  • wkbbu
"I use to spend my summers on Baboosic Lake. It is beautiful there. My family enjoyed taking evening boat rides around the lake. It is very calm with beautiful sun sets."
  • Buddy P.
"Nashua first time home buyers ought to consider Amherst NH. With its well reputed school system, its finely honed town government, nearness to Nashua and Merrimack and Manchester employment and also the entire Monadnock region Amherst is THE place to settle down. Golf, river canoeing, school level athletics, and many community organizations there are lots of ways to stay connected and to connect- all in Amherst, NH"
  • Carol G.
"There are 4 public schools in Amherst. The 2 Elementary schools are in the Village (Clark K-1 and Wilkins 2-4) and the Middle and High Schools are on the southern edge of Amherst. We have had 3 children go through the Amherst School system and have been very pleased."
  • Caroline D.
"Fantastic town that is very close to Boston, the seacoast and the mountains. Great weather with 4 seasons to enjoy. Very safe and family friendly."
