Emmanuel is right. If you could prove the previous owner and/or real estate agent knew of the asbestos then you could be entitled to be compensated in some way. If they received an inspection when they purchased the house that stated it had asbestos that would work...problem is obtaining a copy of that inspection, and as he stated it is not required for inspectors to determine this. - Tue Apr 21 2009, 14:03
