I grew up in Montclair and attended the Montclair Cooperative School, which my mother co-founded. I continued my education in the Montclair Public schools. Since receiving my BA degree from Boston University, I've lived all over the country including, Los Angeles, CA, Stamford, CT, Hoboken, NJ and New York City. After marrying, we came back to this area to raise our three children (and two dogs). Before joining Rhodes Van Note, I worked in promotions and advertising. My accounts included several New York City Real Estate firms, as well as Citibank and Mattel. I then joined Random House Children's Publishing where I was in charge of in-store promotions and advertising for Dr, Seuss, plus tie-in promotions for Random House's other licensed childrens' books series. In most recent years, I have been raising my children and fundraising for many school events in Glen Ridge. I have co-chaired the Mayor's Gala silent auction for the town of Glen Ridge and, I have chaired a silent auction for Cityarts, a non-profit organization that transforms New York City neighborhoods by creating public art with youths and professionals artists. I most recently co-chaired the Glen Ridge Kitchen.
Why I am a realtor: I love the homes in this area. I loved my experience with my real estate agent. I love moving, and, if my husband cooperated, I would move again and again! Now, as a realtor I live through my clients. If I can be of service to you in helping you to buy or sell a home, I will be more than happy to assist you in any way I can. Helping clients get their homes ready to sell and helping buyers getting their home ready to move into is one of my favorite parts of my job. Since I've been in the area for so many years I have a wide range of contacts from contractors, masons, color specialists, designers to dog walkers and piano teachers. I am also very fortunate to have a partner in the real estate business: Dana Farber Schwern. She has been my friend for many years and, since we both have school-age children, our partnership makes it feasible for one of us to always be on-call for our customers' real estate needs.
