Computer and Software Technician
Gateway, and Dell Computers
January 2002 - January 2004
Worked for Dell Computers administering a massive project in which we switched out every computer on the Camp Lejeune Marine Base with new Dell Computers. Tasks included backing all settings, and files up to central server. Breaking down old, and setting up new. Reinstalling all necessary software and settings. Transferring files from server to new computer. Training Camp Lejeune staff on transfer procedure, and new software.
I didn't like traveling so I took a position in town with Gateway as a computer technician. Tasks included software, hardware, network, and third party application troubleshooting, and repair. Typically repaired 7-10 systems daily. Eventually the store closed.
U Name it Constuction
January 1995 - January 2000
As a child I spent much of my free time working and building various things in my fathers shop, or helping out on his job sites. Beginning around age 10 I began working full time every summer, spring and Christmas break with his construction company. I have experience in everything from finish carpentry, to exterior masonry. I used these experiences to rehab real estate and instill massive amounts of sweat equity. There are few construction tasks that I don't feel exceptionally comfortable tackling.
