About Me
I joined my father, Tim Wood, at Coldwell Banker Mountain Gallery Realtors in January of 1999. We work together, along with a few other associates of mine, to make up The Tim Wood Group. We take pride in working harder and smarter than our competition. You won't find a lot of fluff with us, we pretty much tell it like it is. That has earned us the reputation as the most professional group for Big Bear real estate sales. We specialize in higher end properties, including lakefronts and new subdivisions, but we are able to handle all types of sales in the Big Bear Valley.

Since becoming a Realtor I have been very active in my local & state real estate Associations. Positions held include: Big Bear Association Director 2002 to 2006, MLS Chair 2004, Legislative Co-Chair 2003, Association President 2005, C.A.R. State Director 2003 to 2005, and 2007 C.A.R. Region 15 Chair in 2007 (Rim of the World Association, East Valley Association, Barstow Association, Desert Communities Association, Victorville Association, and the Big Bear Association). I was fortunate to be awarded the Realtor of the Year award in 2006 for the Big Bear Association of Realtors.

I specialize in all areas of Big Bear Lake including Moonridge, Fox Farm, Eagle Point, Fawnskin, Big Bear City, Sugarloaf, and Erwin Lake. I also have extensive market knowledge and sales history for all high end areas of Big Bear, including the lakefront market, Castle Glen, Eagle Mountain Estates, Alpine Woods, Ironwood Estates, Knickerbocker Ridge, High Timber Ranch, Meadowbrook Estates, Eagle Point Estates, Eagles Knoll Estates, Forest Springs, Sky Valley, and North Shore East/Bear Loop.

This property sold back in Aug. of 2008. Either the sign never got taken down, or it is back on the market. Given that it is not showing for sale in the Big Bear or Socal MLS, I think the sign never got taken down. If I do see it come on market, I will re-post here.

Hello Jake.

Good question - I have to say that it does not necessarily hurt to have a "big name" Realtor help you with the sale. Many times, they have become the "big name" because they get business done.

That said, I would still recommend that you get references from the last 5 sellers that the Realtors has helped. This will help you judge how their service level is. I have seen several "big name" agents who spend a lot of money keeping their "big name" out there, only to give less than satisfactory service.

In the end, you should hire an agent that provides good service/communication along with the experience and track record of results. - Mon Apr 13 2009, 21:42
