Samss have you looked at the comps because the sellers counter offer may actually be a good price. By asking them to pay your closing costs which are concessions that's less money the sellers putting in their pocket. $2000 may be their limit. If you need your closing costs paid just increase your sales price.

You may not see this in the press but right now at least in Macomb County we have very little inventory, so it's becoming a sellers market and we're seeing a slight increase in prices.
