It all depends on the agent. Commissions and fees are NOT a set by the brokerage or by the state so they can be negotiated.
For instance I have 3 different commission levels and in the different commission levels I do have a transaction fee that I charge when the home goes under contract. But if the seller did not want to pay that then I have two other options for them.
If you feel that the agent has a better marketing plan and is better qualified to sell your home over the others then the coordination fee maybe worth it. - Wed Jul 22 2009, 16:22
