There are many ways to search MLS such as by zip code or school district. Those are the two most popular ways to search for homes. Folks also will search by subdivision if they are desiring to live in a particular neighborhood. There are also map searches where buyers can draw lines around the areas they would like to live. Rest assured, your home will show up in many different types of searches all around the net.
